Description
The Stuart Real is often called an “upside down” vertical engine, however this is not the case as the earliest vertical steam engines were arranged, like this model, with the crankshaft above the cylinder.
The Real was designed by Mr. Andrew Smith towards the end of the 1970?s and is based upon an engine that operated in a colliery for nearly one hundred years.
